Collection: The Motion Lounge

The Motion Lounge was a nightclub in Williamsburg, Brooklyn that was popular with the Bonanno crime family under Dominick "Sonny Black" Napolitano.

It was one of the places that FBI agent Joseph D. Pistone used for his undercover operation to infiltrate the Mafia, and he wrote about it in his autobiography Donnie Brasco: My Undercover Life in the Mafia.

A fictionalized version of the lounge was in the film adaptation, Donnie Brasco.

Today, Graham Avenue has been touched by the gentrification that has transformed Williamsburg from a working class and industrial neighborhood to an expensive playground for the young and affluent. The corner of Withers Street and Graham, where the Motion Lounge once stood, is now the office of an architectural firm. There's an upscale barbershop next door.
